The Mount Macedon & District Horticultural Society began in 1922 and is one of the oldest garden clubs in Victoria. In that first year, the Horticultural Society began by opening gardens on Mount Macedon to the general public. It was the first organisation in Australia to do so.

The Horticultural Society began hosting the annual Garden Lovers’ Fair in 2003 within the carpark of the Mount Macedon Golf Club. The Fair quickly became so popular it outgrew this venue and was moved, in 2013, to the grounds of Bolobek, one ofVictoria’s most historically significant gardens.

Since this time, the Fair has grown to be one of the most popular garden fairs’ in Victoria. With some 40 specialist and unique stall holders and over 3,500 people attending our last fair, the Mount Macedon & District Horticultural Societies Garden Lovers’ Fair is just the reason you need to escape to the Macedon Ranges with your family this October.
